Welcome home bag request

If you are a foster care congregate care facility and you have a new foster youth and would like to have someone from Love Heals Youth bring a Welcome Home Bag, please submit a request. The youth will receive a bag with full sized hygiene products, a journal, and a few other items (depending on supplies).

Through LOVE, we HEAL! Our counseling program will help foster care youth rewrite and repurpose their trials and tribulations so they can find acceptance for the present and find freedom from the past. In time, LOVE will HEAL all wounds.

Our Mission

Our amazing team of counselors is committed to helping youth in foster care. Love Heals Youth does not have any paid staff members and our counselors work with the clients at a discounted rate. All services are funded through Love Heals Youth at no cost to the recipient(s). Enrolling a foster youth is easy and we can schedule appointments

Our amazing team of counselors is committed to helping youth in foster care. Love Heals Youth does not have any paid staff members and our counselors work with the clients at a discounted rate. All services are funded through Love Heals Youth at no cost to the recipient(s). Enrolling a foster youth is easy and we can schedule appointments within 48 hours. Services are coordinated through Counseling Center of Montgomery County.

Our program is designed to support the entire family system, regardless of the setting. We offer counseling services for the foster care children, caregivers, and the birth family. We work with older foster youth in group home settings and folks experiencing homelessness. Our Mobile Clothes Closet, Welcome Home Bags, Tutoring Services, an

Our program is designed to support the entire family system, regardless of the setting. We offer counseling services for the foster care children, caregivers, and the birth family. We work with older foster youth in group home settings and folks experiencing homelessness. Our Mobile Clothes Closet, Welcome Home Bags, Tutoring Services, and monthly Social Service Projects help our clients meet their basic needs so they can begin to truly thrive.

Each month LHY hosts a social event with a purpose, bringing the community together to raise awareness and gather items to help the foster youth belong and to keep them from being excluded.

Love Heals Youth is making efforts to fulfill the needs of the kids based on Maslow's Hierarchy.  We know that human motivation is based on the pursuit of different levels of needs. By fulfilling the basic needs, the foster youth will be able to move on to the more advanced needs and finally thrive as they develop and begin to realize their potential.

Tutoring

LHY offers *free* tutoring programs with retired teachers. The tutors  coordinate and prioritize the needs as they collaborate with the teachers. LHY is helping youth finally experience classes with passing grades!
