From the moment she could form words, Payton was singing, her life inherently intertwined with music. Born in 2008, she embarked on formal voice training at 7 and quickly became a local sensation, singing the national anthem at community events. By 9, Payton ventured into songwriting and debuted an original piece on the esteemed stage of Dosey Doe Big Barn in The Woodlands, Texas. She's since become a staple in the Houston music scene, gracing stages in Conroe, Montgomery, and Spring with her original compositions and captivating covers.
In 2022, Payton distinguished herself as one of the youngest talents to participate in a Memphis songwriting retreat, led by the celebrated Grace Askew. There, she honed her craft alongside veteran musicians, collaborated on new songs, and recorded at the legendary Sam Phillips Recording Services Studio. That same year, she unveiled her debut EP, featuring three original tracks. Despite her burgeoning music career, Payton remains grounded, actively participating in sports like basketball, cross country, and track, and enjoying outdoor activities like fishing and hunting, while still in junior high.
